We are looking for HIL Test Engineer to join our team in our Warwick facility located in the UK. As a member of our in-tech team you will work with experienced engineers from different countries and the latest technology every day.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our European engineering testing teams running tests with remote access to our HIL systems.

  • Develop, write, and implement new test cases.

  • Run automated test suites and create new test scenarios.

  • Analysis of testing data and report overall test status results in a managed process.

  • Document software defects using tracking systems and reporting defects to our customer.

  • Work with specific tools and hardware, CANape, ControlDesk, Doors, Jira, INCA.

  • Collaborate with engineers working in foreign locations for testing of ECUs in accordance with the procedures to meet performance targets.

  • Propose test efficiency & testing methods procedures.

Requirements

The ideal candidate would be a graduate ideally in either systems, software, or electrical engineering. In additional to this you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional experience with detailed knowledge of HIL (Hardware-in-loop) testing

  • Good understanding of Diagnostics (ISO 14229) testing

  • Ability to understand the requirements of a components function to be able to create new test cases.

  • Experience with Test Automation will be beneficial.

  • Good experience with some common automotive industry tools like dSPACE Control Desk, INCA, Vector Tools, EXAM, DOORs etc.

  • Experience in Python language and CAPL scripting will be an added advantage.

  • Broad experience in the automotive sector with a strong understanding of a vehicle systems and the methods of testing a vehicle.

  • Independent and proactive way of working with an ability to communicate effectively with various development teams in different countries.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. and OBD (J1939)

  • Good analytical skills.

  • And most importantly, you are a team player, you are open-minded and have a positive approach to challenges.
